As part of efforts to promote economic stability among women in Ikorodu, the state government has engaged about 250 women in Ikorodu on vocational training.
The women were trained in nine vocations and were given start-up kits to commence business.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Cecilia Bolaji Dada emphasized that economic progress has a lot to do with vocational skills.
She called on women to take up the gauntlets of being at the forefront of economic prosperity via vocational skills.

The training lasted four weeks across 35 wards in Ikorodu.
