Construction work has begun on the Ikorodu-Sagamu road as some contractors could be seen on Monday working on one of the lanes on the road.
It will be recalled that the road is part of the seven-points agenda of the Hon. Babajimi Benson, representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
The construction has impeded transit on the road has vehicles now have to share a lane.

Speaking to a motorist, Elijah Akanni, he said that the construction is great but that Ikorodu has worse roads than this, as such, the government should focus on those roads.
“It’s a good development but this is not the pressing problem of Ikorodu when it comes to roads. Go to Igbogbo and see the flood there, they are not repairing, it is this one that they can show the world that they are repairing,” Akanni said.

Another motorist, Ben Francis however emphasized that the construction should not be half-baked but seen to its completion.
Francis said, “This is not the first time they will be working on this road, but stop at a point. I hope this time around it is completed and not left half-way.”
