Ikorodu residents have been urged to resolve their complaints and disputes on land use charges through the Land Use Charge Assessment Appeal Tribunal (LUCAAT).
Giving this advice was the Registrar of LUCAAT, Mrs. Olayinka Oyegunle, during the annual interactive session with leaders of the Community Development Committee (CDC) in Ikorodu.
She pointed out the role of the tribunal and how the people of Ikorodu can take advantage of it to address their land issues.
It was gathered that the tribunal was set up in August 2011 to serve as a platform where property owners could ventilate their grievances in respect of Land Use Charge (LUC) assessments and other related matters.
Oyegunle revealed that the Tribunal is also fully digital and, aside from walk-ins, can be accessed via WhatsApp, messages, or mail.
Reacting to the attacks on government officials seen distributing LUC demand notices in the area, the registrar called on the chairman and the community leaders to join hands to stave off such attacks and ensure members of the community continue to enjoy development.
