Ikorodu, Lagos – The Ayangbure of Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, has installed Alhaja Mutiat Abeni Ojulari as the new Iyaloja of the Ayangbure International Market, Ikorodu.
The ceremony took place at the Ayangbure pavilion within the Ayangbure palace in Ikorodu and was witnessed by many dignitaries, family members of the new Iyaloja, and a large number of market men and women in Ikorodu.
The former Iyaloja of the market, Alhaja (Chief) Taofeekat Abiodun Allison, died about two months ago.
In his speech at the installation ceremony, Oba Shotobi urged the new Iyaloja to be fair and just in her dealings with all the traders in the market. He also called on her to work with the market leadership to ensure that the market is clean and safe for all.
The new Iyaloja, Alhaja Ojulari, thanked Oba Shotobi for the honour done to her and promised to do her best to serve the traders in the market. She also called for the cooperation of all the traders in the market to enable her to succeed in her new role.
