Residents empowered with buses, sewing machines

It was all smiling faces in Ikorodu Constituency 1 yesterday as the majority leader representing the constituency Hon. Sanai Oyediran Bolanle Agunbiade empowered residents with mini-buses, sewing machines and P.O.S equipment.

The empowerment which was tagged Opomulero Empowerment Scheme was in partnership with Lagos State Employment Trust Funds (LSETF).

According to Agunbiade, the initiative was born out of a drive to boost capital capital development in his constituency.

He said that the scheme is aimed at improving the living condition of people as a result of giving them opportunities to make an income for themselves.

“Empowerment of this nature opens up the community to new ideas and strategies. This puts the responsibility and decision making power in the hands of every constituent. It brings a new paradigm shift of prospects and growth catalysts to the grassroots,” he said.

Agunbiade also appreciated residents of his constituency for granting him the opportunity to serve in the Lagos State House of Assembly on their behalf.

He stated that it is imperative that the constituency improves on what has been done, canvassing support from his people towards his re-election bid.
