The Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Tokunbo Abiru has received endorsement from a political group in Ikorodu.

The group, Abiru Consolidation Team (ACT) held its formal inauguration ceremony in Ikorodu, and announced its support for Senator Abiru.

Convener of the group, Omoba Akinyemi stated, while addressing members, that the vision of the group is dual-pronged with one being to promote the laudable works of the senator across Lagos East of which Ikorodu belongs to, and the other, to mobilize support for his reelection in the Senate in 2023.

“The Abiru Consolidation Team (ACT) is a child of necessity, created for the twin purpose of propagating the #DoingGood activities of Senator Abiru across Lagos East Senatorial District and for mobilization of support for his reelection to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“We are a political support group, committed to the success and re-election of Abiru into the senate for a second term in office. This is a task we believe must be pursued and accomplished to ensure the current tempo of quality and effective representation in Lagos East is sustained.

“Our group is made up of a mixture of practicing and aspiring politicians as well as technocrats whose sole interest is to support the senator to succeed in his current position.”

The co-convener of the group, Shakiru Seidu said that Senator Abiru’s unprecendented performance alongside his selfless service to his senatorial district inform the group’s mission.

He commended Senator Abiru for his effective delivery of dividends of democracy across the local governments of the Lagos East Senatorial District.

“We, as constituents, have seen the good works of Senator Abiru. He has been committed and resilient leader. In fact, Abiru has shown consistent leadership style since he got into the National Assembly,” he said.

Seidu urged the people of Lagos East senatorial district to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) to have Senator Tokunbo Abiru returned to the Senate in 2023.

It will be recalled that Senator Abiru recently sponsored the rehabilitation of the Eid Praying Ground in Ikorodu.
