Senator representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Senator Jimi Benson has rolled out nine empowerment agendas he intends carrying out for the Ikorodu Constituency between June 2022 to February 2023.
Benson said that thousands of Ikorodu residents including women, skilled and unskilled youth, the aged and the physically challenged will benefit from the projects.
The projects as rolled out in an infographics include: 1500 household solar systems, N50,000 cash grants to 140 market women, solar street light through the LightUp Ikorodu project, upliftment of 800 individuals/households via his 2022 upliftment programme, grading of roads.
Others include tuition assistance to students in Ikorodu division who recently got admission into tertiary institutions, construction of 10 additional link roads plus completion of Ikorodu-Sagamu road, construction of 1000 mini-seater stadium at Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) and deployment of 10, 500KVA transformers in communities across the Ikorodu division.
The senator said that he will be counting on the prayers and support of the Ikorodu people to achieve the projects.
He urged all residents to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ahead of the 2023 Elections.
