In a bid to care for the elderly ones in the society, the Rhoda Youth Center has engaged senior citizens in the community, distributing food items and giving health tips to them.
The engagement which had participants who are 65 years and above held at the RHODA Centre, Solomade, Ikorodu, and was in partnership with Mrs Jadesola Otubanjo, Chief Executive Officer, OTJore Ventures.
Food items including rice, garri, beans flour and beans were given to participants.

Rotimi Gbadegbo, the founder of the Centre said that aside the food items, the senior citizens were gathered to have health tips on how to live longer and take care of their health.
Gbadegbo revealed that the centre alongside its partner will also be giving necessary treatment and surgery to the senior citizens with cataract problems.
“Aside distribution of food items to show our support for you, it is also important to fraternize and share ideas on how to live at old age, what to eat and what you should be doing.”
“As an organization, aside providing food items to senior citizens and others, we also care for those with cataract in the community as we see this as our duty to assist Ikorodu community in getting rid of the disease and prevent blindness,” Gbadegbo said.
