Residents of Igbogbo and Bayeku community have been assured of improved health facility and road network.
The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo and Secretary, Ijebu Obas in Lagos State, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali gave the assurance when members of the Ikorodu Heroes paid him a courtesy visit recently.
Oba Kasali stated that the Igbogbo Primary Health Centre which is undergoing rehabilitation will experience an upgrade towards providing sufficient health care service to the community.
He said, “We are not just sitting down in the palace doing nothing. I can tell you that work is seriously going on in the area of health facilities in Igbogbo.
“The Igbogbo PHC will be upgraded soon to provide more adequate health services to the residents with more spaces to accommodate more people.”
He added, “The abandoned Federal Medical Centre will also soon be completed, thanks to the motion moved by Hon. Babajimi Benson. This would go a long way in providing more care when completed.”
Oba Kasali also fielded questions on the dilapidated road in Bayeku, vowing that work will soon begin on the road.
“Work will commence soon on the rehabilitation of the road. The Governor has given his words on that. The project will start from the AUD Primary School/Odofin junction to the Odofin/Iyewa junction where it would be dualised down to Bayeku.”
The monarch also commented on land grabbing issue in the community, asserting that if the police will do their job right, such will be eliminated in the community.
Oba Kasali also advised that water transportation be explored to ease the plights of traffic on roads in Ikorodu.
