The African Democratic Congress on Thursday had Sunday Oladapo and Ifemide Omo emerging as the party flagbearers for Ikorodu constituency 1 and 2 respectively ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Both candidates emerged unopposed.
Confirming their nomination via a voice vote was the chairman, ADC House of Assembly Primary Election Electoral Committee, Aisha Disu.
Reacting to his victory, Omo vowed to partner with the grassroots to bring about developmental projects, plus enhance the security of the communities in his constituency.
On his part, Oladapo was filled with gratitude for his nomination, asserting that he won’t disappoint the faith reposed in him.
His words, “I thank this great party for giving me the opportunity to serve as the flag-bearer for the Lagos state house of assembly election for Ikorodu Constituency 1 in 2023 and I will not let this party down.”
The election was held at MM International Hotel, Sabo, Ikorodu and was overseen by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) amid security agents.
