Residents of Gberigbe community have lamented the flood that has taken over their road.
After the heavy downpour in Thursday and Friday, the community was flooded.

A resident, Lola Sowemimo stated that it is high time the government comes to their aid as they cannot keep suffering the same fate everyday.
“Every year, we experience this. We have complained, but nothing gets done about it. The whole community today is flooded, you can’t pass except you pass on water. It’s so bad!”

Another resident who identified himself as Mr. Hasssan noted the government’s inattention to the road stating that it was once marked for reconstruction only for nothing to be done on it.
“A time ago, they said they were going to start work on it. We saw some constructors but nothing happened. This year again, we are experiencing this,” Hassan said.
Kayode Clement called on Governor Sanwa-Olu to look into the road as everyday the rain falls, it becomes worse.

“The rain is not going to stop anytime soon. The more it falls, the worse this road gets. The government should please come to our aid. How do you expect cars or bikes to ply this? People who have to go to work would be stuck at home or at their workplace,” he said.
It was gathered that the road was approved by the Lagos State Government in the past for upgrade but nothing has been done on it.
