Two blocks of three classrooms each were commissioned at the UPE Primary School in Ilara Epe on Saturday, September 3, 2023. The commissioning was done to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of the coronation of His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo (JP) (Telade IV), The Alara of Ilara Kingdom.
The classrooms were facilitated by the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA. Senator Abiru was represented at the event by a member of his team.
The commissioning was well attended by residents and indigenes of Ilara, including dignitaries from far and near. In his address, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Oba Ogunsanwo, expressed his gratitude to Senator Abiru for his impactful representation and facilitation of laudable projects to Epe division and other communities under the Lagos East Senatorial District.
He said that the classrooms would go a long way in improving the quality of education in the community. He also urged other public-spirited individuals and organizations to emulate Senator Abiru’s gesture.
In his remarks, Senator Abiru said that he was committed to providing quality education to the people of Lagos East Senatorial District. He said that he would continue to facilitate the construction of classrooms and other educational facilities in the district.
