Ijede, Tuesday, May 16th, 2023 – Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, welcomed members of the Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) to the council secretariat today. The Commission, a statutory authority, is responsible for various aspects of local government administration, including recruitment, staff welfare, deployment, promotion, sanctions, and removal from service.
Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, the Chairman of the Commission, led the delegation and expressed appreciation for the dedication of the Ijede LCDA staff. He encouraged them to make the most of available resources to deliver effective services. Hon. Taofeek Adaranijo, the commissioner representing Ikeja, focused on staff welfare, particularly their health. Dr. Saheed Tajudeen, the council’s MOH, was tasked with organizing health programs specifically for staff members.

In her address, the Executive Chairman expressed gratitude to the commission for their visit and commended the council’s staff for their unwavering support and commitment. Mr. Ogabe, the Director of Discipline and Exit, provided insight into the procedures regarding staff exits from service. He emphasized the importance of adhering to established rules and regulations in discharging duties.
The LGSC delegation included Hon. Olubowale Sotimi (Ikorodu Division), Hon. Akeem Adisa Bamgbola (Lagos Division), Mr. Ahmed Ayide Seriki (Epe Division), Hon. Taofeek Adaranijo (Ikeja Division), as well as other permanent secretaries and directors.
