Five Ikorodu City FC players have been given an award of recognition by the club for their outstanding performances during the first half of the season.
Right back, Gabriel Adewara was recognized as the best player. Adewara has scored two goals in eight games, with both goals coming from long-range free-kicks, and was invited to the National U-20 camp for his performances.
Waliu Ojetoye was awarded the most disciplined player.
Tosin Oyedokun was named the most dedicated player for his dedication on and off the pitch, even during training.
The captain of the team, Sebastian Godwin, was recognized as the most consistent player. It is noted that he has played every game for Ikorodu City in the NNL.
Anthony Odachi, striker, received the most outstanding player award after scoring a brace against Ekiti United and racking up three goals so far in the season.
On Saturday, the team will return to action as they host Owerri-based Campos FC in Lagos in the second stanza of the NNL season.
