It is now three wins on the bounce for Ikorodu City FC as they pipped their opponent, Adoration FC 1-0 at home on Saturday.
The Oga Boys had to leave it late thanks to a 90th minute goal from Harrison Austin.
The defender connected to Gabriel Adewara’s cross to put a header past the opponent’s goalkeeper.
It was a cagey game that didn’t see much chances for both sides.
This win has catapulted Ikorodu City FC to fourth on the table tied on same point, 24, with Vandrezza.
Reacting to the victory, a fan, Shina Adebayo expressed his excitement seeing the team back in winning form.
“It is good to see the team winning again. Three wins now, and now we are fourth on the table. Well done to the boys,” he said.
Samuel Omikola, another fan, hailed the coach and the players for having turned the tide around at the club.
“They have done well. Winning three games consecutively, even away from home. That’s the way to go,” Omikola said.
The team will now look forward to their next game on Monday in the FA Cup against Magic Stars at home.
